Job Description POSITION
Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant provides personal care services under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
The CNA ensures quality and safe delivery of health care services and assists in the provision of patient care that reflects Optimal Health Cares philosophy and standards.
He/she will be supervised by the RN every 30 days or as needed.
Qualifications:
Legally and currently certified to practice as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Experience in home healthcare or related field.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Demonstrates the ability to read, write, and carry out directions.
Possesses the maturity and ability to deal effectively with job demands.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Has a minimum of 6 months experience in pediatric/geriatric care.
Possesses a drivers license and reliable and insured transportation.
Current CPR and First Aid card.
Health clearance/physical with 12 months prior to hire date.
TB or chest X-ray within 12 months prior to hire date.
Hepatitis B series/declination.
At least 2 letters of reference (must be in good standing).
The CNA must have on record all required employment documents.
Additionally, he/she must have all other items listed below.
Valid state issued photo ID I-9 documentation Social Security Card W-4 federal income tax forms State tax forms Reliable transportation Not been determined to be:
Convicted of a crime of violence in violation of Criminal Law Article 14-101 annotated code of MD.
In violation of Health-General Article 7-1102 annotated code of MD A person with a criminal history which would indicate behavior potentially harmful to people receiving services.
Documented either through a criminal history records check or a criminal background check.
DUTIES:
Performs simple procedures as an extension of services under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse.
Ensures the quality and safe delivery of home healthcare services including but not limited to:

Bathing b.
Shampooing c.
Skin/nail care d.
Oral Hygiene e.
Shaving f.
Dressing g.
Meal preparation h.
Light housekeeping i.
Laundry Ensure the quality and safe delivery of healthcare services.
Follows patient plan of care as written and discussed with the Registered Nurse.
Documents daily delivery of quality and safe healthcare services in the home.
Identifies and reports needs and changes of patients condition or treatment; and accurately reports their findings to the Registered Nurse in a timely manner.
Demonstrates the safe use of equipment and supplies effectively and efficiently.
Promotes personal and environmental safety for the client by observing infection control practices and reporting unsafe situations to the Registered Nurse.
Participates in patient case conferences according to agency policy and procedure.
Participates in required health education programs.
Complies with agency policies and procedures.
Must complete at least 12 in-service courses within 12 months.
WORK CONDITIONS:
Work involves exposure to uncomfortable and unpleasant surroundings.
As an essential employee, you may be called upon to assist with natural disasters and/or public health emergencies.
Work involves exposure to hazardous conditions which may result in injury.
Works with terminally ill patients.
Home visits may occur in unsafe neighborhoods and/or unhygienic environments.
Work will require the use of protective equipment such as goggles, gloves, masks, etc.

Care Coordinator and Nurse Care Managerby Jobble.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
